Create Drawings of Parts

Create a drawing of the parts you want to laser cut. Click Here to view Onshape Drawing Tutorials.
- You can create a separate drawing for each part or combine them on one drawing.
- If you only need one part, create a drawing for that part only, don't waste material
Create a drawing with the settings as shown on the right
- Left Click on "Custom Template"
- Select Size "A" from the Pull Down Menu
- Left click on Border "Do not include"
- Left click on Titleblock "Do not include"
Left Click on OK
Insert appropriate View.
Right Click on part to verify the scale is set to 1:1

Insert appropriate View.

Right Click on part and select "View Properties"
Verify (or Adjust) the scale is set to 1:1

Create DXF File

Create the DXF file either at the laser cutter computer and export into downloads
Create the DXF file at the your current computer, export into downloads, and copy your google drive.

1. Right Click on the Tab for the drawing you want to use and select Export

2. Create a new filename for the the drawing, select DXF, and click Export.
