-Curriculum Vision and Goals-
OUR GOAL
By school year 2027/2028, our goal is for 51% or more of our students to read on or above grade level.
OUR VISION
At Brookside Charter School, our curriculum is designed to inspire academic excellence, critical thinking, and leadership in every student. Grounded in The Brookside Way, our instructional approach is standards-based, literacy-driven, and student-centered, ensuring that all learners have access to high-quality, engaging education.
Our vision is for every student to develop strong foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and science, while also fostering creativity, problem-solving, and leadership through hands-on learning, project-based experiences, and collaborative classroom environments. We believe that every student is a leader, and we intentionally build opportunities for students to take ownership of their learning and celebrate their growth.
The curriculum at Brookside is aligned with the Missouri Learning Standards and supported by research-based instructional strategies. Teachers use data-driven instruction to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that learning is personalized, challenging, and supportive. Our ultimate goal is to prepare students to be confident, capable learners who are ready for future academic success and leadership in their communities.
