What is the project about?
This site shares 17 case studies of how the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are authentically addressed in organisations connected to Oxford Brookes Business School. The cases represent diverse UK and global organisations, and are suitable to use with students across subject areas. Ten SDGs are featured across the case studies.
The case studies have been developed with Oxford Brookes Business School Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR) and Visiting Industrial Fellows (VIF). Each case is a testament to their contributions, both to the global goals and to education.
The primary purpose of the cases is to illustrate the SDGs in action, in an introductory, storytelling style. Within the project's time constraints, the priority was to establish a link between business activity and a selected SDG target. Through this approach, they each offer many additional avenues for exploration in greater depth.

Please give your feedback and/or share your resources! We are keen to hear from educators and students on the usefulness/interest in the case studies. We will use this feedback to shape ongoing development of the series. Please complete a (very short) Survey
Educators and students are also invited to share examples/resources of how the cases have been used - these are featured on the 'Community Co-Creation' tab.
The case studies were developed by Dr Karen Cripps (Associate Professor in Responsible Management and Leadership) with student partners, Layla Saleh (BA Hons Marketing Communications). Extended and redesigned in with Remy Dikareva (OBBS Student Partner, Year 1 BA Hons International Business Management). With special thanks to LIsa Hill of the Digital Education Team.
This formed part of a 'Curriculum Enhancement Project', alongside a broader repository of Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability resources, led by Dr Jill Millar (Senior Lecturer in Business and Management). Jill and Karen are grateful to the project sponsor, Dr Jonathan Louw (Associate Professor of Management Education), and Lisa Hale (Associate Dean of the Student Experience) for support throughout.
Finally, thanks are extended to all business leaders for their support of this project.
