Some takeaway points from the session:
The beauty of the SDGs is that it gives us a comprehensive framework of goals and targets and creates a shared language.
The SDGs connect the different international agreements, efforts, and areas of work that different actors from the local to global level are undertaking into one common point of reference.
A rapid review of research conducted at Brookes and how this contributes to the SDGs would be beneficial. This needs to be made visible on the Brookes website.
More visibility of the RIKE Networks and their impact would be beneficial in supporting academics to work across disciplines and support the SDGs.
The University needs functionality to display SDG infographics in staff personal profiles.
For REF 2029, we should make links to the SDGs explicit in our impact case studies.
Brookes scored really highly this year in the SDG Teach In tables.
In terms of time investment, it is worth being aware that the SDGs will change within 6 years (2030).
