The default text editor in the Brookes Moodle VLE, which you find for example when adding a topic to a discussion board, works much like any other text editor. This page points out some 'additional' functionality.
At first sight (see screenshot below), you see one row of buttons allowing you to format text and insert links. There are more buttons which can easily be revealed by clicking on the first button above the editor window, showing a downwards pointing arrow. Please note that when you 'hover' with your cursor over each button you will see a short text explaining what this button can be used for.
The screenshot below shows all the buttons which you will see once you clicked on the first button. It points out which buttons can for example be used to insert audio or video files, and to record audio or video.
