Editing your Moodle Profile

In your Moodle profile you can create a digital identity for yourself that other Oxford Brookes Moodle users will be able to see. It is a great place to add information about yourself that will introduce you to tutors and students on the courses that you study. Your profile also contains several useful settings that tell Moodle how to work for you.

To edit your profile

• This opens a page where you can edit your personal details, including uploading a picture representing yourself.
• When you have finished making changes, click on "Update profile" at the bottom of the page to finish and save.

Edit profile details that can be seen by other users:

• Upload an image... Choose an image that best represents you for your studies. Remember that you are creating a digital identity in this Moodle space and decide what image is most appropriate for your course. To add a new picture, browse and select an image (in JPG or PNG format) then click "Update profile". The image will be cropped to a square and resized to 100x100 pixels.
• Additional names
• Interests
• Optional (web page, skype ID, etc.)

You can edit other Moodle settings via Preferences.

In the Preferences section, click "Forum preferences" and check the settings for 'Email digest' and 'Forum tracking'.
