Once you finish marking and moderation, queue the marks in Moodle and view them in Banner within minutes. No copying between spreadsheets, no faff.

Automated extensions

Whether your students have a Type A/B/C or an ISP extension, their individual deadline is clearly signposted next to their submission, so you know who has an extension and who submitted late. [1]

[1] Some Type C extensions still require manual processing due to variability in Exceptional Circumstances procedures.

One dropbox

No more separate dropboxes for students with different extensions. Whether your students need to submit by the regular deadline or they have an extension, they all submit in the same Coursework dropbox. Simplifying the student assessment journey and your assessment management. [2]

[2] The number of Coursework dropboxes depends on how many gradable components are included in Banner for the module. For a single gradable component, students with and without extensions are all managed within the same dropbox.

Use Turnitin as before: see the originality report, add grades/feedback and rubrics, access the submissions in Feedback Studio directly from the Coursework dropbox.

Academic conduct issues flag

Mark submissions for potential academic conduct issues before you refer them to the Student Resolution and Investigation Team and withhold grades and feedback from being released to those students. [3]

[3] The Academic Conduct Issues flag does not refer students to SIRT. It only highlights them in the Coursework dropbox and makes it easy to filter the submission dropbox based on which students have been flagged for potential plagiarism. Grades and feedback are withheld for submissions that have been flagged for plagiarism.

More than meets...the essay

Whether you need students to submit an essay, a Panopto video, a portfolio or mark their presentation without a submission in Moodle, Coursework can handle it. [4]

[4] Panopto submissions require manual setup of an assignment folder in Panopto. Only documents can be checked by Turnitin for originality.

Automated dropbox creation

Module Leaders no longer need to worry about setting up dropboxes in Moodle. Each Coursework dropbox represents a gradable component in Banner and appears automatically in the Assessment section of the module at the beginning of each semester.

Blue card integration

Easily identify which students have the blue card adjustment in their ISP whether the dropbox is anonymous or not. [5]

[5] Blue card submissions appear with blue borders above and below their entry in the dropbox as well as with an exclamation mark next to the student name.

Moderation agreement

Moderate submissions and add comments from right inside the dropbox. [6]

[6] Moderation requires the Coursework Internal Moderator role to be assigned manually via the Participants list of a module.
