During 2022/23 trainee generalist primary school teachers at Oxford Brookes University in the final year of their BA(Hons) course completed a short Cultural Placement with one of our cultural partners.  These experiences helped to support the trainees in developing a rationale for incorporating a school visit into a unit of work. Together with designing their own sequence of cross-curricular lessons based around a class visit to a cultural venue, and learning about the logistics of taking pupils off site, the trainees prepared a presentation to communicate the educational value of a specific visit.
