University means different things to different people. Everybody’s experience will be completely unique depending on where they go, what course they study, and what social life they lead - so only you can answer this question! It’s a big step, and you’ll invest a lot of time and money into going to university, so being part of Discover Brookes, and doing your own research, will be really useful in helping you make a final decision.

Use the UCAS Job Finder to explore different careers available to you. You can search by job family, subject, or skill! You can even click the Buzz Quiz link to explore your personality and find out what types of jobs might suit you.
There's also Prospect's Career Planner Quiz, with lots of useful job profiles to explore.
If you know what course you want to do at university but not what career you would like, don't worry! Most people don't know exactly what they would like to do and that's why university Career's Services are here to help. They can help you with things like work experience, interviews and even getting a part time job. This will help you gain experience in the world of work alongside your degree.

With over 300 institutions and 50,000 course to choose from across the UK, deciding which one is right for you can be quite a challenge!
It’s also normal not to know what you want to do for the next 3 years (and beyond) at this stage, so don’t worry. Now’s the perfect time to take the first step towards deciding.
Complete 3-5 of the following suggestions to help you with your research:
Order some prospectus’s or visit university websites to learn more about the entry requirements, course details, and just about anything else you can think of!
Check out topuniversities.com to decide what kind of university you might want to attend. (The main two types are City Unis and Campus Unis)
Try comparing courses and institutions using the discoveruni comparison tool to find out what career and income recent graduates have gone on to achieve.
Considering summer school? Loads of universities run them, including Brookes! They're usually free and are a great way to experience student life and your subject area first hand.
Chat to a current university student about their experience choosing their course and why not ask what they enjoy most about their university and degree. you can find just about any university and course using the chat to student tool on UCAS, or chat to a Brookes student!
