Oxford Brookes Student Union
Lots of sixth form students ask us: "What is a Student Union?" So, if you're thinking this, don't worry!

Which societies would you like to join?
Which societies would you like to join?
Societies at a university can be broken down into the following 3 broad categories:
some societies allow you to meet like-minded people that share your background or interests (or maybe help you develop a new special interest or hobby) e.g. vegan, rocksoc, islamic society, anime
some societies can help you to develop your future plans, or focus on your university course at university e.g. entrepreneur, journalism, events management
whereas some societies allow you to celebrate the truly unique things in life (some might say 'wacky'...) e.g. tea, disney, quidditch

When you are finished, you can complete the short activity below, giving your answers.
