About Mr. Gripka

Hello!  My name is Tyler Gripka and I am excited to be your new counselor!!  I have been married 15 years to my wife Anya.  We have two boys, T'Lenn (8), and Taylum (5).  We live in Lamar, MO and that is where my boys attend school as well.  My wife Anya works for the Golden City school district as the Title Coordinator.  

I have been a school counselor now for 9 years, but have worked in education for 13 years.  I started working at Neosho High School in Neosho, MO in 2011 as a Paraprofessional in Special Education.  I worked there for 3 years, and then my wife and I moved to Lamar, and I started working for the Jasper School district.  I worked 9 years at Jasper, 2 years as a Paraprofessional and 7 years as a counselor. Last year I worked for the Carl Junction school district as a High School Counselor.  I have experience working with all grades and I am excited to be working with these great students here at Bronaugh!

I have also been a coach for several years.  In the last 10 years I have coached football, basketball, and baseball.  I have been a head coach for basketball and baseball, both at the high school level.  I am looking forward to be helping to coach girl's basketball here at Bronaugh!

When I am away from school my family loves being outdoors and playing sports!  My two boys are very involved in playing sports and we love to fish and hunt, as well as spend time on the farm raising our mini cows!   

​I have a BS in Christian Ministries from Southwest Baptist University, an MA in School Counseling from Missouri Baptist University, and a MA in Athletic Administration from William Woods University.

I am very happy to be your School Counselor and to help students, families, and my school each day!
