Leads in the selection, integration, organization, and sharing of digital resources and tools to support transformational learning and develops the digital curation skills of others.
Builds Instructional Partnerships
Partners with educators to design and implement evidence-based curricula and assessments that integrate elements of deeper learning, critical thinking, information literacy, digital citizenship, creativity, innovation, and the active use of technology.
Empowers Students as Creators
Encourages and facilitates students to become increasingly self-directed as they create digital products of their learning that engages them in critical thinking, collaboration, and authentic real-world problem-solving.

District Librarian works with teachers to either collaborate or get the resources necessary to empower students
Library websites with resources to facilitate student learning and reading
Yearly Elementary Reading Motivational Program and book fairs twice a year
Bookswap/Reading Performer (collaborates with Kid Connection)
Several collections of ebooks/audiobooks and other online reading resources
High school "Caught You Reading" program
Work with Middle School Reading Teacher to promote reading program
Makerspaces purchased to encourage and engage students in real-world problem-solving and critical thinking activities
Public library collaboration on reading programs
Weeding constantly to keep the collections up to date and relevant
Purchasing up to date and relevant print resources, that also encourages reading for fun
Possible Areas for Growth
Keeping the print collection up to date is a constant process
Continue to work with middle school staff to create a reading program that will work with that building
Promote literacy-themed events more throughout the district and community (eg Banned Book Week, Library Month, Book Tasting, Speed Dating with Books, Teen Read Week, Friday 1st Chapter Read Alouds, Poetry Week, and so many more)
Revise and update the digital collections every year (consistently)
Creating more online How-tos from the library
