Galactican’s Craft

The spaceship is an adaptation of the obsolete space shuttle. Galactican had the craft re-designed to accommodate three Tachyon engines, which are capable of speeds close to 186,000 miles per second (The speed of light.)

Dimensions:

The entire ship is 37.25 meters long and has a wingspan of 23.75 meters. The payload area is 18.85m long and 4.5m wide and has been converted into living quarters for the Bounty Hunter during his long and often arduous journeys into deep space.

The skin of the craft is made from an experimental alloy that is capable of withstanding any amount of cold experienced by travelling in deep space and the extreme heat caused by the atmospheres of planets inhabited by mankind.

Facilities, such as toilets and cleaning areas, have been designed to fit neatly into the relatively cramped surroundings. Provisional space has been made for his Jet Bike, which is used to travel short distances on a planet’s surface.

The Caliper Landing Apparatus Wyvern’s ( CLAW ) of the ship are capable of adjusting to any form of terrain the craft lands on. Even by landing on a smooth metallic surface, the toes of the CLAW’s are capable of tearing into the metal in order to determine a solid grip.

The blister pods on the side of the Eagle have been enlarged to accommodate larger amounts of fuel, water, and oxygen, which are crucial for deep space travel.

The entire craft is governed by a self-motivated computer known as ‘Angel’, and is capable of guiding Galactican through the perilous depths of endless space.

The computer also provides a backup system when the Bounty Hunter is obliged to confront outlaws single handedly. Angel’s ability to think has allowed her to develop a personality and opinions that Galactican does not always agree with. However, she is dedicated to him and will use anything in her power to protect him.

Armament

Significant weaponry has been added to the ship ranging from lasers to guided missiles, which are capable of finding their targets even if they are behind pursuing the Eagle.

The Strato-magnum lasers are the most powerful available and are robust due to the retractable shields that protect the barrels of the weapons at high velocity.

At the front of the ship is a Proton accelerator capable of deploying a massive amount of energy for the purpose of removing any sizable objects in the spaceship’s path or as a form of heavy artillery when used in battle.

Due to the vast capacity of energy the weapon can deploy, it has been banned from use and is therefore illegal to use in populated areas of the solar system.

Maintenance

All space vehicles of the future must be registered and are subject to the same taxes and costs as aircraft on Earth and Mars. The Insurance for the Eagle is expensive due to the fact it is a combat craft and extremely susceptible to damage.

Maintenance costs are also considerable due to it being a high-performance ship. Regular checks must be carried out to search for excessive wear and tear on the vehicle before the insurance, and any flying permit is provided

by the authorities.
