He is a Gen-I, a genetically modified being, corrupted by women and wild partying, Roman became Bounty
Hunter. However, unsatisfied with remaining on Earth, he volunteered for duty in deep space on the frontier
of humanity.
It was here that he met Galactican. Intrigued by the danger associated with bounty hunting, he joined forces with him and together they apprehended many bounties and their reputations grew as a result.
However, most of the criminals they caught or killed were worth very little to the authorities and therefore the bounties remained modest.
Roman’s lifestyle always exceeded his income and purchasing a sensational ship, The Black Shark, was not an improvement to his bank balance and he grew more frustrated by the fact he had to split the money with his partner.
Eventually, something has to give and Roman double-crosses Galactican by shooting him in the back, just as they’re about to apprehend an outlaw who confesses to knowing where a vast amount of money is hidden.
Instead of killing his friend, Roman leaves his wounded colleague and goes in search of the hidden wealth. However, Galactican is eventually found and recovers from his injuries.
Meanwhile, the outlaw had been lying all along and so Roman executes him. Now an outlaw, Roman is forced to roam the outer regions of space. He turns to crime easily enough and soon gathers together a bunch of villains to assist in various robberies. However, the cost of maintaining a gang is enormous and there just never seems to be any cash remaining.
Roman decides to lead his men on an almost suicidal raid to a deep space carrier transferring precious metals and crystals. Their plan backfires and the gang are ambushed by a fleet of inter-planetary warships sent to guard the vessel.
Roman is sentenced to the maximum limit the law will allow. Bad cops are considered the worst criminals and the fact that he was also a bounty hunter does not help when sentencing is announced. Roman is to endure to two hundred years in Alcatraz II, the prison space station orbiting Venus.
Galactican is never given the opportunity of capturing and bringing him to justice as it seems as though Roman will never see the light of day again….But they were all wrong!
