Student safety is central to our digital approach. BSM operates a structured and carefully monitored digital environment designed to support safe and responsible technology use.
Our systems include filtered internet access, device management tools, safeguarding monitoring platforms, and age-appropriate restrictions.
As outlined in our E-Safety Policy, online activity may be monitored through safeguarding and filtering systems including Smoothwall, Blocksi/Classwize, Google Safety tools, and network firewalls.
In our Ethics lessons in secondary and with class teachers in primary, students are explicitly taught:
Online safety and digital citizenship
Responsible communication
Digital footprints and reputation
AI literacy and critical thinking (from year 6 onwards)
Respectful and ethical online behaviour
How to recognise misinformation, manipulation, and unsafe content
