The graduating students of BHS will continue linking learning to life by being productive members of the community. Former students will be prepared to follow a path out of school leading to a life they desire.
The mission of the counseling department is to assist students in finding their future path. In partnership with the community, Central Career Tech, TCC, and various colleges and universities, students that leave BHS will have experience with a future career pathway through the availability of internships, technical training or concurrent courses.
The school counselor's primary responsibility is to the student, and therefore what is said to the counselor is considered confidential unless the student wishes the counselor to share that information. Exceptions to confidentiality are in the case of harm (harm to self or others) or state (or federal) mandates by law. The counselor will do what is ethical responsible for the best interest of the student.
Bristow High School matches the Oklahoma State Department of Education Graduation Requirements each year.
