FID Days

In case of a Flexible Instruction (virtual) Day, here's what you need to know!

Flexible Instructional Days (FID)

Expectations for Students
In the event that school is canceled for inclement weather or an emergency, the following are expectations for students during FID days.

Attendance
An email will be sent from administration to all students at 8 am with a Google Form which they must complete before 10 AM.  Students will be marked present for the day if they have completed the Google Form by 10 am.

Class Expectations
All teachers will post work in their Canvas Classrooms by 8 am.  Teachers will assign a due date/time for this assignment.  Students are expected and encouraged to complete their assignments by the end of the day to ensure that they receive credit for the assignment.  Failure to complete the given assignment will result in a negative grade.

If a student is absent from school on a Flexible Instruction Day, they are still responsible for the assignments given in each class.  Students will be given one day to make up work if they are absent.

Communication and Assistance
Teachers will send messages to students through email or Canvas inbox with the means of communication that they will be available on for the day, either through email or Google Meet.

Students are not required to log in to a Google Meet or email their teachers if they don’t need assistance on their assignments.
