For the first time in your school career, you have choice. Even though much of your timetable will remain compulsory – English, Maths, Science, PSHE, core REP and core PE – you will be able to decide what subjects fill the rest of your time. That means that you can create a timetable that focusses on your interests, your skills and the courses you need to progress to the next stage of your career. Reach out for advice from your teachers, your family and your tutor. I am here to help each step of the way.

Yr 10 Options
As students enter Year 10 they will have a little more choice about what to study. It is important for Y9 students to fully engage in taster lessons, tutor sessions and information assemblies at this period to help them make informed decisions for their future. Students will choose four option subjects to study alongside the core subjects: all students will study GCSE\Level 2 courses in English Language, English Literature, Maths and either the 3 Separate Sciences or Combined Science. Decisions should always be made based on a student’s interests and strengths, and not based on what a friend has chosen.
