advocate on behalf of all students
monitor student progress related to academic, career and social/emotional development
counsel students, in collaboration with parents/guardians, to set academic goals
observe and assess students’ social/emotional development and skills
plan and deliver effective activities and experiences to promote wellness and help students develop the character traits and self-awareness needed for success
implement and/or recommend interventions for students as needed, including academic and behavior interventions and supports
are trained in crisis response, and articulate and provide an appropriate role in a plan for intervening quickly and systematically in response to a trauma or crisis
are the link between home, school, and community in providing direct, as well as indirect, services to students, families, and school personnel to promote and support students academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success
build resiliency and improve social and emotional health among students
help students face many issues that impact their learning, including issues at home, in the community, and in their schools
provide services such as: individual and group support services, classroom and grade level presentations, professional development and training for school staff, and referrals and follow up for any additional behavioral/mental health services
offer a school-based program accessible in numerous districts throughout Trumbull, Mahoning, and Ashtabula counties
