Students must demonstrate specific professional skills required for success in the workplace. Students must work with at least 3 experienced and trusted mentors who validate the demonstration of these skills in school, work, or the community.

An industry-recognized credential is a qualification of a specific set of competencies related to an industry or occupation. These credentials can take many different forms, including certificates, certifications and licenses.
To earn Ohio’s Industry-Recognized Credential Seal, students must do one of the following:
Earn a 12-point industry-recognized credential; or
Earn a group of credentials totaling 12 points in a single career field
Obtain a state-issued license for a practice in a vocation that requires an examination (earned at TCTC through one of their credentialed programs)
Students must earn a remediation-free score in the following subcategories of either the ACT or SAT.
ACT remediation-free scores: English 18, Reading 22, Math 22
SAT remediation-free scores: EBRW 480, Math 530
A student will earn the Military Seal when they:
provide evidence of enlistment in a branch of the United States Armed Forces. To show evidence of enlistment, a student will provide to the district or school a signed copy of the United States Department of Defense Enlistment/Reenlistment Document (DD Form 4).
Students also may receive this seal if they:
participate in a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program for at least 2 school years
provide evidence of acceptance into a United States military service academy or
received scholarship into the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
Students can earn the Citizenship Seal by completing at least one of the following:
Earn a score of proficient or higher on both the American History and American Government Ohio State Tests/End-of-Course Exams
Earn a final course grade of “B” or higher in both American History and American Government courses.
Earn a "B" or higher in both a CCP American History and CCP American Government course.
Earn a score equivalent to proficient on an appropriate Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exam for both American History and American Government
Students can earn the Science Seal by completing at least 1 of the following:
Earn a score of proficient or higher on the Biology Ohio State Test/End-of-Course Exam.
Earn a final course grade of "B" or higher in an Advanced Science course (such as Chemistry, Physics, etc)
Earn a "B" or higher in a CCP science course
Earn a score equivalent to proficient on an appropriate AP or International Baccalaureate science test
High school students can gain state recognition for exceeding Ohio’s graduation requirements through an honors diploma. To meet honors diploma requirements, students challenge themselves by taking and succeeding at high-level coursework and in real-world experiences.
To receive the Honors Seal, students must earn 1of 6 honors diplomas:

A Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating seniors who can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one other language.
A student must meet State Requirements by completing both of the following:
1. Earn a score of proficient or higher on an approved English Language assessment
2. Earn a score of Intermediate High or higher on an approved World Language Assessment within 15 months before graduation.
To earn Ohio’s Technology Seal, students must satisfy at least one of the requirements below:
Complete a technology course that meets criteria established by the Ohio Department of Education (Digital Design offered here at Bristol High School)
Earn a score equivalent to proficient on an appropriate Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate test
Earn a “B” or higher in an appropriate College Credit Plus technology course
