Currently, BR Robotics has 3 programmers and 3 3-D printers with Ransom Collinsworth as the lead for both teams.
The programmers' goal is to deal with the coding and technology part of engineering. This includes coding, 3D modeling, and creating video games.
In 2023, the programmers reprogrammed the IR sensor for the competition, while the 3-D modelers created a full blender 3D model of the robot.
2023: In the photo on the left, a graduate, Jose Arguijo, pays the club a visit. He was the president of the club in 2021-2022. He is helping Cole with the program.
Becoming a programmer requires the ability to problem-solve. When coding, you run into all sorts of problems, so you need to be able to figure out a way to succeed, despite your obstacles. If you enjoy solving puzzles and testing your brain, then you'd make a good programmer! We offer lessons to teach you how to program, 3D model, and create simulations. Successfully creating a program can be difficult. When the programming team was creating a system for the robot to run on, they created a "risk chart". In the chart, they weighed out the pros and cons of each feature, as well as the risks that they're taking. If they run into a problem, there are solutions to help them get around it.
