Hi, I’m Lula Starling.

I write atmospheric mysteries, reflective nonfiction, poetry, puzzles, and creative books for readers who are interested in what lives beneath the obvious.

Across genres, I return to many of the same questions:

What do places remember? What do families leave unspoken? Who were we before the world began telling us who to become? And what changes when we finally allow the truth to rise?

My work is rooted in Southern settings, emotional depth, memory, identity, healing, and the threshold between what we can explain and what we can only feel.
