English III

Welcome to Junior English!

Throughout the year we will be reading two novels as a class, and you will participate in two self-selected book clubs. We will also be compiling a portfolio of your writing as well as writing essays with practical purposes. 

It is REALLY important that you stay on top of your assignments and NOT GET BEHIND! Turn assignments in when they are due. Much of our work will be posted on Google Classroom. In class you will be given a code to join the class. Announcements and assignments will be posted there. Many assignments will be submitted there as well.

Oh...and one other REALLY important thing to watch out for...my pet peeve in writing is when students do not capitalize the word, "I." Failing to do this on an assignment can cost you 30% of your grade! (So on a 10 point assignment, if you missed 2 points AND forgot to capitalize at least one "I," then you would lose another 3 points, making your score 5/10.
