Math is often the most difficult subject for students, but it does not have to be that way. Math can be fun, rewarding, and empowering. With great instruction, adequate support, and frequent review, we can make sure that students grow quickly in math and even begin to enjoy the ancient and magical field of mathematics. Building confidence in math can be life-changing. Math skills open doors to challenging classes, selective college majors, and future lucrative careers.
Accommodations:
Middle school students are welcome to use a calculator during our math lessons if they have a disability that limits their ability to memorize the multiplication facts. In addition, students of all ages may benefit from the charts posted below.
If your child struggles to memorize the addition facts, please print this chart and have it available during math work. If your child finds this tool useful and has an IEP, you might consider adding this tool to the accommodations section.
Please print if your child does not have all of their multiplication facts memorized. This is a great tool to speed up the process of solving higher level math problems. If your child has an IEP, you might consider adding a multiplication chart tool to the accommodations section of the IEP. Later on in middle school, a calculator is an appropriate accommodation if students struggle with multiplication facts.
