Wisconsin Tuition Promise (target audience: grade 12): Launching in fall 2023, the Wisconsin Tuition Promise is a new initiative to ensure underserved Wisconsin students can attend any UW System university without paying tuition or fees. The goal of the program is to increase the number of state residents who graduate with a bachelor’s degree – especially first-generation students and those from low-to-moderate income families throughout Wisconsin – thereby improving individual lives and communities and helping meet the state’s workforce needs. The Wisconsin Tuition Promise would provide up to four years of tuition and fee funding for students coming from families earning less than $62,000 annually and enrolling at the 12 public universities other than UW-Madison (see Bucky's Tuition Promise in Scholarship info).  Students must be Wisconsin residents and enroll in college full-time. Students will be automatically considered for the Wisconsin Tuition Promise when they complete and submit the FAFSA. Please see the website for additional eligibility requirements, preferred filing deadlines, and more.

Scholarships (target audience: primarily grade 12): College-bound seniors are strongly encouraged to research and apply for scholarships. Every college offers its own scholarship opportunities and the application process will vary from campus to campus. In addition, thousands of private donors, companies, and foundations provide financial awards to high school seniors and current college students.

Free College Guidebooks (target audience: grades 8-12): Students may order free college guidebooks to learn about majors, admissions, financial aid, housing, campus visits, and more! Visit the following links for details: University of Wisconsin System; Wisconsin Association of Independent Private Colleges & Universities; Wisconsin Technical College System

UW Campus Handouts (target audience: grades 9-12): Each fall reps from the UW campuses meet with school counselors to provide updates on admissions, majors, scholarships, tours, etc. Students and parents are encouraged to review these handouts, too!
