Activity 1 : Wheel and Axle with the Vex Kits

What a great field experience. Students were able to "explore the ecology and history of the Port Royal Sound through exhibits, artifacts, and live animals. 

Students were also able to "explore the topic of marine debris – particularly plastics – and its ecological and economic impacts on the Port Royal Sound and all the world’s oceans. They learned to sort between recyclable and reusable materials on the fly!"

Thanks to the volunteers who sent in the Grinch Themed snacks and the volunteers who were able to give their time, our Grinch day was filled with festive activities, treats, and fun for our students. We couldn't have done it without you!

• 9:00-10:00: Activities in Homerooms

  • Mrs. Maichel’s Homeroom: Grinch STEM Challenge & Ornament Decorating

  • Mrs. LaGrone’s Homeroom: Shrinky Dink Ornaments & Grinch Bingo

• 10:00-10:20: Recess

• 10:20-11:30: Homeroom Switch

  • Students switched rooms to enjoy the other set of activities.

• 11:30-1:00: Green Waffles & Grinch Treats (plus cleanup!)

• 1:00-2:00: Free Time
