All About Me

Hello! My name is Melissa Moore, and I am thrilled to be your teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. I have been teaching for 16 years and have spent much of that time focusing on middle-level literacy. I hold specialized training as a Middle Level Literacy Coach and have worked both as a literacy coach and a reading interventionist, helping students grow as readers and writers.

Outside of school, I enjoy life with my husband, our two children, three cats, and a toy poodle who keeps us all entertained. In my free time I love traveling, watching movies, and shopping—I even have a shoe addiction I just can’t kick!

I’m looking forward to a wonderful 2025–2026 8th grade year full of learning, growth, and fun.
