My name is Mrs. Birkelbach (Ms. Bliemeister), and this is my first year teaching at Bridges. Together, we will explore the world of stories. I have a master's degree in English Literature from Georgia Southern University. I have taught at USCB, GSU, and Cross before coming to Bridges. I first knew I wanted to be an English teacher when my 9th-grade English teacher read us Edgar Allan Poe. 

I am a cat mom to three cats: Stevie Rae, Jania, and Roxas. I was married on September 20, 2025 to my fiancé Jason.
