Welcome to 6th Grade Science!
Hi, I’m Ms. Ruth, your child’s guide through the exciting world of science this year! I’m originally from the great state of New York, and I’ve been proud to call sunny South Carolina home for the past 23 years.
I’m a proud mom of three amazing kids! My son holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice, my oldest daughter earned her B.A. in Environmental Restoration (how cool is that?!), and my youngest just graduated from high school and is gearing up to start her college adventure.
Outside the classroom, I volunteer with Carolina Boxer Rescue, love anything arts-related, fishing, hiking, and a good day with my toes in the sand. With a B.A. in Elementary Education, a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Master’s degree in Arts Integration, I bring creativity into everything we do. So expect lots of drawing, painting, and hands-on projects in our science lessons!
I’m all about making learning fun, meaningful, and memorable. I can’t wait to partner with you and your child to make this an incredible year of discovery and growth. Let’s do this!
