The Senior Launch

Seniors and their families start the year by meeting with a college counselor and discussing goals, plans, and lists. Seniors then work with their college counselor to complete applications and follow up on acceptances. We end the year with a Launch Meeting to discuss next steps: areas of strength and areas for growth.

Senior Seminar

In Senior Seminar, students

  • Are supported in their post-secondary transition, college and gap year applications.

  • Learn important life and adulting skills.

  • Discover more about themselves and each other through social-emotional guidance and exploration.

Students can use Gap Years as a bridge year before college or career. We encourage college bound students to apply to college during senior year and contact their admitted school to defer a year for their gap. (Read about the deferral process here.)

Gap Years are a great opportunity to learn and grow, to become more independent, experience life outside the familial bubble, and develop greater self reliance.
