All students receive their own Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) by the end of August. During our first few Advisory (Friday) meetings we get to know each student in one on one meetings. We also use their benchmark test scores to help create their 6th grade PLP. We will send a link to their PLP as soon as it is available. In the google sheet you will be able to see:
-Personalized learning plans (PLP)
-Behavior notes
-Scores for their math and reading progress tests
-Progress Report (digital report card)
-Guides to show where scores align based on grade level
As the parent or guardian, you will have viewing permission. If you have any questions or comments please email your student's Advisor (homeroom teacher). We ask that a parent or guardian attend at least three advisory meetings during the year, although you are welcome to come to as many as you like.
Do students need to bring any supplies?
No, all supplies will be provided. If students would like to bring something special or personal they can. We ask that any art supplies (paint, special markers, pens, etc.) be left in the student's locker until recess and or any other specified free time.
Will there be homework?
Yes....and No. Students will not be assigned homework by their teachers, but will help create their own activities to help with any goals they set in their PLPs.
