Admissions
We believe it is really important for the school to develop a very close relationship with parents/carers before children enter school. There is a meeting for parents/carers organised before their children begin when there is an opportunity to meet the Head, Deputy and the Foundation Stage teachers. This is the time when we share some of our principles and practices with new parents and there is an opportunity to ask questions, followed by a walk around the school. Our official admission arrangements approved by the LEA are as follows: All reception aged children can now start school from September regardless of birthday. As a school we will ensure appropriate provision is in place to support the youngest children.
For children who join us from other schools and have not followed the induction process, we ask that parents contact the class teacher after the child has been in school for about a week in order to see how things are going and to see that the child is settled in school.
Should you and your child be joining us after the reception year, then I will only be too pleased to talk to you and your child during a school day and will take you on a tour of the school in order for you to see children and staff at work.
