Brewster's Strategic Coherence Plan in the Makerspace
Brewster Central Schools follows a Strategic Coherence Plan that emphasizes a set of universal skills and traits. The Humanities makerspace was built convergently around the same skills and traits. Brewster's Profile of a Graduate even includes a picture of Sisyphus.
The following five sets of testimonials allow students to speak to this convergent connection. These testimonials also get at the strength of Brewster, what has always been to nurture innovation and creativity. We're all reading the same texts — Wagner's Creating Innovators, Dweck's Mindset, Johnston's Opening Minds — and moving students through the same paradigm shift.

From the Student Director
For the 2017-2018 school year, there was a Student Director in charge of many aspects of the makerspace.
From the Guidance Department
Brewster's Guidance Department is made up of what Tony Wagner calls "kindred souls" in Creating Innovators: educators who embrace the paradigm shift of the Strategic Coherence Plan and convergent solutions like this makerspace.
