Last Week of Classes
Our last week of classes went by so quickly! With three new people coming in during the week, we hoped they would have a good taste of at least a little bit of the American classroom culture. We continued finishing our Gateby essay, conferencing everyday to get feedback. Our personal statements are getting stronger, and we are looking forward to improving our statements throughout the summer.
As for TOEFL class, we finally got our TOEFL mock test scores! Everybody’s scores improved a lot so the course was very effective. As for the college guidance class, this week we spend time on finishing our assignments in the comfy library. We also did some final conferences with Bill and Nina on the college list that is going to be sent to OCSC pretty soon. Throughout the program, our classes have been incredibly helpful in improving our English skills. We will miss our classes so much when we’re in prep school!
New student arrivals
On Tuesday 13th, our new friends, Gun, P and Nemo, have just arrived at Brewster, on the same day as OEADC. Exhausted from the long flight, they have their first dinner at Estabrook then move into Toad. Then we have some trips to Bailey’s Bubble downtown. They will have classes with us for the rest of the week. Better Late than Never!!!
Big congrats to everyone for their great achievements over the past 10 weeks
Thank you Neo for being the “lighthouse” of the groups. Thank you so much for being our role model and our goal that we have to work twice as hard in order to get a bit closer to your standard.
Thank you Prae for being the quiet leader. You always speak up first in TOEFL class. we love you.
Pae for being the best comedian ever: the only guy who create relaxing and wonderful atmosphere, questionable noises, and SUPER FUNNY jokes about everything.
Tonaor for being her own head chef and making those amazing food, but not considering sharing it to us😭 (the whole dorm can smell it).
Thank you Tian for overdosing caffeine staying up all night (grinding hard on his hw??) and buying a Chai tea that smells like soap but said it’s not that bad.
Thank you Boon for being P’Aum’s most competitive opponent in puzzles and the best coffee house ever shown to human.
Thank you Poom for always wearing a winter jacket. Make us feel cozy and warm just by looking at you.
Thank you Wit for doing TOEFL and playing football. Rashford who?
Thank you P, Gun, and Nemo for coming late.
Thank you Nurry for screaming?
Coffee House
Coffee house is the last activity in their summer camp. We enjoyed watching talent shows from Thai scholars and P’Ice. Boon taught us how to translate from one language to others without using google translator, and Neo played guitar. Other TSs and P’Ice sang songs.

Forest Temple Monastery
August 21, 2024
Liz took us on a two-hour drive to Temple, NH.
At Forest Temple Monastery, we participated in meaningful tea time discussions on Dharma with a monk who was ordained in England and has devoted over thirty years to Buddhism after studying with a student of Luang Pho Cha in Thailand. Following this, some of us spoke with Pa'Pi, who shared insights into her assistance to the monastery's founder, her personal and family life, her career journey, and her children's educational experiences.
THANK YOU :)
Dear BA Faculty & staff members, TS67 Parents,
Thank you every teachers/TF and TA for having everyone and the 3 who had just arrived.
Speaking as someone who has just been here, we sure learned a lot about American culture and improve our English skills, such as speaking, writhing, and of course, we all have appreciated the help from college guidance.
I just got to Brewster 4 days before the program end, I don’t know much about everyone yet. Still, the last 4 days were such a great time.
Sincerely,
P, Editing Team
Will be from Tian
