Leadership Experience!
Have you “aged out” of Campus Adventures but still want to come to Camp? Do you enjoy working with younger kids? Join Directors, Beth Banks and Laura Patch to help behind-the-scenes. Learn what it takes to be a leader and how to organize group activities. You will gain leadership experience by assisting Instructors, Group Leaders, Station Leaders and Camp Directors while helping the younger campers get the most out of Camp.
Celebration lunch for TAs on Friday (after camp clean-up and debrief).
Develop your leadership skills at Camp!
Be a mentor to younger campers
TAs participate in the same Camp Safety Training that staff are required to do.
TAs help in ALL areas of camp.
TAs will have a "playbook" with tons of group activities and helpful resources.
TAs learn about leadership styles, group dynamics, and conflict resolution.
TAs and Directors meet daily after campers leave to debrief the day and discuss what went well and what we need to change for the next day.
The TA team will have a closing party/debriefing on the last day of camp.

From camper to TA to Staff....
TAs are encouraged to find something special to add to camp each year. This can be helping with pre-camp prep, creating camp activities or by improving camp activities & protocols. We have a debrief meeting after each day at camp to get TA feedback about how the day went and to prepare for the next day. All TA voices are heard. TAs help to improve camp in all areas, every year.
How will you leave your mark?
TAs "Jade" & "Eesti" created the original camp logo in 2019!
What TAs are saying about
why they want to be a TA:
I have been at Campus Adventures for seven years now and I always looked up to the TAs, so now I finally get to be one.
I want to be a TA because, I was here last year and it was fun not just because of the classes but because of the TA's.
I want to be a TA at Campus Adventures because it is a very fun camp where I feel supported by all and where I can grow as a leader.
I want to be a TA at Campus Adventures because I’ve always looked up to the TA’s whenever I was a camper and I thought that doing it myself would be really cool.
I have been a TA for multiple years, and I love the camp as well as helping the kids and the leadership opportunity it provides me.
Since I’ve been a TA before I had so much fun and I would love to do it for a second year and years to follow!
I love camp and working with younger kids.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know things around me locally and get a better grasp on the people and environment.
I want to be a TA because it is very fun and a good leadership opportunity.
Volunteering and helping out the community in any way I can is always a priority of mine. Campus Adventures allows me to do just that.
I enjoy being a camper and a TA at Campus Adventures and I like having fun with the kids.
To be with my friends and learn to become a good leader.
I would love to be a TA for Campus Adventures because I have been a camper since I was in first-second grade and would love to inspire other campers to lead and serve when ready. I feel this is a very nice opportunity to help others and to lead to great fun!
Well, I have known and gone to this camp for quite a while now, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon either, I just love it so much there! I want to test my ability of leadership before I conquer the troublesome journey of 8th grade. I want to get out of my comfort zone of talking to a group of people, to leading them. After all, learning these skills and connecting with others will have a positive impact on my future later on in my career. I want to be my better self.
I want to be a TA at Campus Adventures because I loved going to Campus Adventures as a camper and I had a lot of fun being a TA last year. I also enjoy playing with kids and doing fun activities.
I love children and working with them so this would be a great opportunity for me.
I want to be a TA at Campus Adventures so I can be a better person in my community. I want to learn how to better communicate and connect with others while I am here. I feel this will make me a better person.
I really enjoy working with younger kids and learning how to be a better leader.
I have gone to camp as a camper and loved it so I want to help with it. I will also get valuable training out of it.
I loved being a TA last year and I really think it helped me grow in leadership and flexibility. I hope to do it again this year because I know that not only will it be a lot of fun, but it'll be another great experience with new people and new opportunities. I'm really looking forward to the afternoon program coming back and continuing to grow in the program as a TA.
I want to be a TA at Campus Adventures because I am trying to improve my leadership skills and I think that being a TA would help a lot with that. I enjoy the camp activities and and I am excited to have a new role at camp.
Because it has always been fun in years past and its a great learning experience.
I have been a TA at Campus Adventures before and I enjoyed being a camper before that.
I used to go to Campus Adventures as a camper. When I was a camper my older siblings were TA's and it seemed like a lot of fun.

I was TA last year for the first time and it was fun. I wanted to do it again. And Bethie asked me! :)
To be a leader and help younger kids.
When I was younger I enjoyed going to Campus Adventures and I would enjoy helping others have as much time as I had at that age. I'd love to work with Steve O'Neil. He was my idol as a young child. I think this could be good experience for a college resume.
Because I went to the camp a few years ago and when I heard about the ability to be a TA it sounded like a great opportunity.
I was exited that Campus Adventures wasn't during my soccer camp or drivers ed, and I always liked going to camp.
I want to gain experience in a leadership role.
What TAs are saying about their
Favorite thing about Camp:
My favorite thing about Campus Adventures is how you can depend on the staff members to support you and help you grow as a leader.
My favorite thing is the tight knit community between the TAs that it creates.
My favorite thing is probably doing a bunch of fun things with the campers and friends because you pretty much get to hang out all day and do fun stuff!
I love being there with my friends and making new ones and just having a great time.
I love seeing the kids enjoy the activities that everyone works hard on for them to complete. It’s amazing when everything comes together and everyone is having a great time.
