Each student who has successfully completed an instructional program approriate to their interests and needs shall be awarded a diploma of graduation. The board shall award a regular high school diploma to every student enrolled in the district who meets the requirements of graduation established by the district. Only one diploma shall be awarded with no distinctions being made among the various programs of instruction.
Credit requirements are based on .5 credits per class per semester.
.5 credit is earned for each semester course successfully completed. The number and types of credits required for graduation vary depending on the graduation year.
A student must successfully complete 24 credits, including all required courses for graduation. See below for more information.
At one time it was required to pass a state assessment in order to graduate. Students now can meet the graduation pathway through one of several test based and course based options. Click HERE for more information.
Students must outline how they plan to meet their high school graduation requirements and how they will spend their first year out of high school. Creating a plan will help students start thinking about their futures and focus on the courses they need to best prepare them for their career interests, no matter what they plan to take.
Bremerton High School required all students to complete a Senior Presentation. This requirement offers students an opportunity to apply their learning in a "real world" way.
