In second grade Chinese, students will be working on:

• Continuous listening and speaking skill training

• Vocabulary and sentence pattern building

• Chinese phonetic system, all of its initial sounds, part of the final sounds, and the tones

• Starting to read Chinese characters with the help of the sounds and tones.

• Practicing writing Chinese characters

• Topics: self-introduction, family members, colors and animals

• Continuous exploring of the Chinese culture.
