The the knowledge and skills gained in Breck Tech are very real and applicable to real world situations. You will be surprised as to how, when, and where you find situations to apply them outside of theater.

Base Tech Skills

Correctly set up wired and wireless hand mics in the Cargill and mics and speakers to the mobile sound system.

Identify, hang, plug in and focus lights safely and according to the light plot accurately on battens and light trees at stage level.

Read and Understand build drawings. build stud walls/flats accurately. Guide newer carps in the process.

Demonstrated ability to accurately identify componenents and possess a basic understanding of the safe process in the use of Theatrical Fly Systems and Scenery Rigging. Independantly though supervised.
(Attending a GSL training session required for interested students or supervisory faculty. TRAINED FACULTY MUST BE IN THE ROOM AND CONDUCT SAFETY CHECKS DURING OPERATION OF RIGGING & FLYS)
Participate in 1 GSL training session.

Sound Programmer
Create a Microphone Schedule for a mainstage production for the performers.
Using QLab build audio cues with auto follows, stop, start, and fades in Qlab and balance them with the soundboard.
