SCENIC

Scenic Carpenters quite simply construct the sets for shows on stage. Using the construction drawings provided by the Technical Director, The carpenters build whatever needs to be built. The task may be simple, but there is knowledge required to get the job done.

The slide decks below will outline the various tools and their uses when building scenery. In person demonstrations will also be provided.

Scenic Rigging and Fly Systems are used to lift large pieces of scenery into the air. These tools and methods provide a greater flexibility in putting on productions. Whole scenes can be changed out with a pull of a rope.

No students should ever attempt to work with this equipment with out trained adult supervision and direction. Doing so could cause extreme damage to equipment and/or injuries.
