Breck Tech is dedicated to aid in the set up and run of events on the Cargill Stage and events associated with the Performing Arts Department. These include assemblies, band and orchestra concerts, dance concerts, plays, musicals, guest speakers/performers, the Coffee House, and Variety Show.
This is intended to provide an opportunity and incentive for students to build on their experience and knowledge of technical theater through practical application of technology and techniques for needs that vary from event to event.
These skills will translate into life in the form of multi team cooperation, time management, practical troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Breck Tech Commitment:
The Dedicated Team: will help set up, run, and tear down known yearly scheduled events. When not prepping for a production or concert, Tech crews attend workshops on various disciplines to expand their skill sets in the areas of Scenery, Lighting, and Sound.
Part timer Crew: Can participate in the way of scenic construction and painting, as those require less training and are required for plays and musicals only. Light hang or re-focus can also be an option as they will be done periodically through the year. Once the proper training is completed.
