The last day to register to vote in the November 2026 election is October 5, 2026.
All U.S. Citizens may vote provided that they are:
A resident of the County
At least 18 years of age on Election Day
Registered to vote
Not a convicted felon (unless they've completed the sentence, including any probation or parole)
Not declared mentally incompetent by a court of law
Texas does not have online first-time voter registration. This means you'll have to complete and mail a registration form using one of the following options:
Option 1: Print at home
Print and complete the online voter registration application with the required information. Sign the form and mail or deliver it to Brazos County Elections Administrator.
Option 2: Request an application by mail
Request a printed application be mailed to your home by the Texas Secretary of State. After you receive your application, sign the form and mail or deliver it to the Brazos County Elections Administrator.
Option 3: Apply to vote in person
Visit the Brazos County Elections Administration office during business hours where you can get help from the staff.

If you’re not already registered to vote in Texas but have an existing Texas driver's license or state identification card, you can register to vote online through the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) when renewing, replacing, or changing your contact information .
Follow the steps to update your driver's license information on the DPS portal, and you will be given the option to register to vote during the process.
If you're already registered but have moved or changed your name since you last registered, you can update your voter registration record online at Texas.gov.
If your voter registration record is on suspense, it means your county of registration has received information that you no longer live at the address on your current voter registration record. You can use the link above to update your address or other information on your voter registration record.
A deputy voter registrar can also change your address with a simple form. Or, you can visit the Brazos County Elections Administration Office in Bryan.
