Accepting new clients for telehealth!
I am in-network with the following insurance plans:
Disclaimer about insurance: If you choose to use insurance to pay for psychotherapy, please be aware that all benefits information provided through the Alma billing platform is an estimate, not a guarantee of coverage. While I will bill your insurance on your behalf, the final determination of what is covered—and what you may owe—is made by your insurance company based on your specific plan, including copays, deductibles, and out-of-network benefits if applicable.
You are ultimately responsible for any portion of the fee that is not covered by your insurance, even if this differs from the initial estimate. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to fully understand your mental health benefits and financial responsibility.
If your insurance is not one that I can accept, you have the following options:
You can pay my full rate
I can create a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network care. A superbill is like a receipt that allows your insurance company to reimburse you for care with a therapist who is not in your insurance network. You will need to check with your insurance plan to see whether or not out-of-network care is covered, what percentage is covered, etc.
I also have a sliding scale starting at $40/session for clients for whom cost is a barrier. Please apply through Open Path Collective here.
If you miss or cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours of advance notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $40.
If you are ill or have a last-minute emergency, please give as much notice as you are able to so that I can offer your slot to someone else.
As a clinical social worker, I am required by law to keep all of your information confidential.
There are several exceptions to confidentiality, which are listed below:
You are under 18, in which case you do not have a legal right to privacy and I may tell your parents some things you tell me if I am concerned about your wellbeing. When possible, I'll always discuss this with you first.
You tell me that you or someone else is abusing or neglecting a child, or a vulnerable adult. In this case, I am required to make a report to the Child Protection Hotline for the state in which the abuse occurred.
You are an immediate physical danger to yourself or others - for instance, if you are having suicidal thoughts and intend to act on them. In this case, I may need to take steps for you to be hospitalized (or, in the case of homicidal thoughts, I may need contact police).
If a judge requests a copy of your medical record, then I may be legally required to share this information. As part of my profession's code of ethics, I share only the minimum required information.
If you request that I release your health information (e.g. sign a release for me to share your information with a family member, or with another healthcare provider to coordinate your care), then I may share it.
