All policies and procedures in the Student Handbook apply in this room.
Be in your seat when the bell rings. We will begin class as soon as the tardy bell rings!
Bring all books and materials to class daily.
No student will be allowed to wander around the classroom/school or go behind the teacher’s desk without permission.
Cell phones and other electronic devices are not allowed out unless we are using them in class for educational purposes!
*Electronic devices, (when they are a distraction) will be taken and turned into Administration!*
Show respect for yourself, others, and our school. At no time will a student be allowed to interfere with the learning environment by being disruptive, verbally or non-verbally. I do not tolerate disrespect to the teacher or peer students.

One of the most important tips is to COME TO CLASS! Trying to make-up work you have missed and keep up with all newly, presented material can be overwhelming due to the number of hands-on activities and/or amount of information covered in-class on a daily basis. So please, only stay out if it is a true emergency. When you do have to miss, you will find your work in the “While You Were Out” box set up in the back of the room. In this box is a folder for each day of the month. Upon returning to class please check the day you were out for missed assignments. If you do not find anything in the folder, please check with Mrs. Wagner at the appropriate time. When you’re absent from class for any reason YOU are responsible for YOUR make-up work. Please follow the class procedure for obtaining missed assignments (look in the “While you Were Out box). If you miss a test, please see me at an appropriate time to discuss when you can make it up. Failure to turn in make-up work/missed assignments will result in ZERO’s in the grade book.
Homework may be given and if given will be assessed by the instructor for completion. The most common forms of homework given include: completing unfinished assignments, studying for a quiz and/or test.
The instructor will designate make-up time during the school year. This make-up time may be in the morning or afternoon, as designated by the instructor(s). If a student is attending a make-up/help session before/after school, the student must obtain a pass from the instructor PRIOR to the session the student wishes to attend, NO EXCEPTIONS (this means planning ahead).
All students are responsible for reading and understanding the student code of conduct as outlined in the student handbook. In addition, each student will be expected to follow all safety procedures and classroom rules. Failure to do so will result in the following:
1ST OFFENSE- VERBAL WARNING
2ND OFFENSE- CONFERENCE WITH STUDENT
3RD OFFENSE- PHONE CALL/EMAIL TO PARENT AND/OR GUARDIAN
4TH OFFENSE- PARENT / TEACH CONFERENCE
5TH OFFENSE- DISCIPLINE REFERRAL
Students who are tardy to class miss valuable instruction time and experiences. As found in the handbook, students more than 20 minutes late to a class will be marked absent.
Tardies will result in the student marked as “tardy” for the class block. Tardy offenses will result in lunch detention, ISTO, and ISS.
Students may not leave the room for the first and last twenty minutes of each block. Students will receive 4 B.O.L.O. passes per nine weeks.*Leaving the room will be at the teacher’s discretion. Students are NOT guaranteed the right to use the passes or to leave without the teacher’s permission. If you must leave please be sure to ask at an appropriate time.*
Progress reports are sent out 4 ½ weeks into each 9-week quarter. If you have concerns about your grade I will be more than happy to give you a printout of your progress at any time. Each student will receive a report card from the school at the end of each 9-week period. Remember that you must have a passing term grade in order to receive credit for this course!
