*Students have online access to Señor Wooly. They can be working on this at home if they feel they are behind. 5 nuggets of Como Estas are due on April 28th.

April 2024/May - Students will working in groups to read about and create a poster displaying a unique spring holiday in the Spanish-speaking world. We will then start a unit on Costa Rica y los animales. We will be learning vocabulary to talk about pets and students will be sharing information about their own pets or pets they want.

What do we learn in grade 6?

                              Unit 1 - Learning about Spanish: colors; numbers; countries; simple classroom phrases

 Unit 2 - Colombia, Schools, Classes and School supplies

Unit 3 -Hispanic holidays and celebrations

Unit 4- Costa Rica and Animals

We also read two to three mini-novels: Marcos y los Reyes Magos, Brandon Brown quiere un perro and/or Llama en Lima.

 *Homework is not given regularly, but students are expected to work on Sr. Wooly online nuggets if they are behind and to bring home any projects that are not finished in class to complete at home.
