Class overview

Learning to figure out the world is a process.  Scientists, both professional and amateur engage in that process every day.  Our science class will encourage you to channel your inner scientist and figure out how things work in the real world.  To do that we will engage in science practices - the work scientists do on a daily basis like asking questions, designing experiments and analyzing data.  We will apply themes to our work that occur everywhere in science, like understanding patterns or determining cause and effect.  We will do these things to answer our questions and explain how things work in our homes, schools, community and world.  Get ready - the real scientist in this class is YOU!
