Classroom Supplies

Back to school shopping for kindergarten is a breeze as our students enter the school year at Oakwood with school supplies already provided for them! Specifically, each child is provided with crayons, glue, scissors, pencils and other various tools that we will use. There is no need to buy any pencil boxes, folders, or other tools as they are already set to go! Please view the following letter with additional information regarding school supplies.

We do ask that each child please come to school with a pair of headphones, backpack, snack, a leak proof water bottle and lunch box (if they are not buying hot lunch).

Every Kindergarten student needs…

Headphones: (the ones linked are a great option that have lasted all year)

We are 1 to 1 with IPads here at Oakwood. Each child will need his/her own set of headphones. When buying these, please be sure they fit your child’s head and they are not wireless. Write your child’s name on them, put in a zip-loc bag and send them in on the First Day of School.

Amazon Classroom Wishlist:

I created an Amazon Wishlist for our classroom supplies. It worked out great because it is set up to ship your order right here to Oakwood. The families loved this! When you take a look, many of the items we have selected will enhance the reading and writing curriculum. You may wonder why traditional school supplies are not listed. I have been teaching for many years and still have unused supplies available.

At Home Supplies:

We know that children love to go and pick out school supplies. We supply crayons, glue, pencils and anything else that they may need. A wonderful idea would be to have all the supplies they might need to continue practicing at home.

Here is a list of some of the supplies your child will use in the classroom and would be helpful to continue working with at home. Let them take ownership and pick out what they put in their box.
