Position in Paradis lab: Neuroscience PhD Student

Where are they now? Research Scientist at Third Rock Ventures, Cambridge, MA

Education: B.S. Neuroscience, Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island

Hometown: Fairfield, Connecticut

Research Interests: Synapses are points of contact between cells in the nervous system through which they transmit electrical and chemical signals. I am interested in understanding how molecular mechanisms govern synapse formation. My work largely focuses on unraveling how a group of developmentally relevant ligands and receptors (class 4 semaphorins and class B plexins) interact to give rise to either excitatory or inhibitory synapses.

Personal Interests: I enjoy drawing, painting, hiking, and staring at the many plants next to my desk window while brainstorming about my project.
