Research Interests: Seizures and epileptiform activity arise from an excessive increase in excitatory signaling within the circuit. I am interested in utilizing Semaphorin-4D, a synaptic molecule which has been shown to increase circuit inhibition, to combat this excessive excitation. My research also serves as an investigation into the potential that Semaphorin-4D has to be used as a future treatment for pharmacoresistant seizure disorders, like Dravet Syndrome and certain cases of severe Epilepsy.

Personal interests: I love music! My favorite genres are alternative rock, electronic, and hyperpop. I’m just about always listening to something, new or old. I also enjoy playing video games with my friends!

If I weren’t a scientist I’d be… nothing, I’m a scientist through and through!
