Where are they now? PhD Student in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology at University of Pittsburgh

Education: B.A., Biology, Brandeis University, 2020

Personal Interests: I enjoy reading, baking, traveling and occasionally skydiving.

If I weren’t a scientist I’d be... a baker

Research Interests: I am very interested in host-parasite interactions involving viruses and utilizing them in gene/drug therapy research. My current project involves using an adeno-associated virus to overexpress the gene that codes for Semaphorin 4D to increase GABAergic synapse bouton density and therefore, possibly serve as a possible pathway for gene therapy as well as the treatment of epilepsy.
