Prospective Students

The Krauss lab is currently seeking highly motivated graduate students to join the lab! We are recruiting students to complete research projects at the interface of chemistry and biology. These include carbohydrate synthesis and directed evolution of carbohydrate cluster ligands with oligonucleotide and peptide backbones by SELMA and mRNA display, respectively. Students with backgrounds ranging from synthetic chemistry to molecular biology are encouraged to apply, but all must have a keen interest in melding chemical and biological research techniques to do cutting edge research in carbohydrate molecular recognition.

As a lab we strive to create a productive, collaborative, and inclusive environment. We would like to emphasize the importance of supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM and encourage persons from historically underrepresented groups to apply.

Prospective graduate students should apply through Brandeis University Ph.D. Programs in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biophysics, or Molecular and Cellular Biology. Admitted graduate students interested in rotating and interested undergraduates should contact Professor Krauss directly via email.
